Explore Duluth | feast of Saint Francis of Assisi

Duluth welcomed me well when I moved here. She pulled out all the stops, and I received her gifts well – pulling out my camera. I came here to serve as a FOCUS missionary at UMD, and these students showed me the sights. Praise and worship in the great outdoors? Yes, please.

It was the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, a saint who, to say the least, loved the outdoors and extraordinarily modeled the art of encountering God there. Seyha, our musician, happened to have several spare Franciscan rosaries, blessed by Pope Francis, so to pray with them seemed only right. It was a very Francis day.  (To learn more about the Franciscan rosary, check it out here: http://forums.catholic.com/showthread.php?t=168542)Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-20Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-8Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-15Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-19Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-17Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-24Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-16Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-14Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-13Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-12Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-7Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-11Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-10Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-25Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-2Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-1Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-29Website Upload 1_Blog_FrancisDay-28Rocks and rivers, bless the Lord.
